Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASN) today declared 5.20 sen dividend for per unit of Amanah Saham Nasional 2 (ASN2) for financial year ending June 30, 2010, involving RM11.2 million in total payout.
A total of 9,237 unitholders, who collectively owned 215 million units, will benefit from the payout.
Permodalan Nasional Bhd chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said ASN2 performed better throughout the financial year ending June 30, 2010 as compared to the same period last year.
"This is in line with the encouraging performance of the country's economy and the local bourse which saw the FBM KLCI index surging 24.19 points to 1,075.24 on Monday," he told a media conference.
As of Monday, ASN2 recorded RM18.47 million in gross income, up 70.54 per cent, from RM10.83 million in the previous financial year, he said. - Bernama
