BLand proposes share split, bonus

BERJAYA Land Bhd (BLand) has proposed a share split of one RM1 share into two 50 sen shares and a one-for-one bonus issue of up to 2.5 billion new shares to improve liquidity and marketability of its shares.

The company said the price per share will be be adjusted downwards, which will make it more affordable for the investing public.

“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the proposals are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2010,” BLand told Bursa Malaysia yesterday.
