GENETEC Technology Bhd has secured new orders worth RM13.5 million from its clients, who are global players in the hard disk drive industry, to manufacture machinery and equipment.
The machine design specialist's orderbook currently stands at RM47.5 million, said managing director K.W. Chin in a statement today.
"With the recovery of the global economy, the outlook for the hard disk drive industry is bright," he said.
Chin said Genetec was well-poised to benefit from the capital spending of manufacturers to cater to the increase in global demand.
The orders were expected to contribute positively to Genetec's financial year ending March 31, 2011, he said. -- BERNAMA
