Trading in MALAYSIAN MOSAICS BHD [] was suspended from trading effective 9am on Monday, July 12, pending a corporate announcement involving shareholders of the company.
The company had requested for a suspension of trading of its securities from 9am on July 12 to 5pm on July 13.
The request for suspension is made under subparagraph 3.1(c) of Practice Note 2 on Requests for Suspension of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.
On June 29. the Edge FinancialDaily reported there could be plans for the company to be taken private.
However, the company, in its reply to a Bursa Malaysia Securities' query said, June 30 that "after due enquiry with its major shareholder relating to the abovementioned news article, the company has to-date not been informed of any decision by the major shareholder to privatise the company".
