Sime Darby Healthcare Sdn Bhd expects to double its revenue in the next three years with the opening of its new hospital in Desa Park City, Petaling Jaya.
Its group director, Datuk Tunku Putra Badlishah Tunku Annuar, said it would be its third full-fledged hospital after the flagship Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya and the recently-acquired Sime Darby Medical Centre in in Ara Damansara, which was scheduled to open in 2011.
"Construction of the new hospital is projected to cost about RM143 million,"Badlishah told reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony here today.
Also present was director-general of Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Datuk Salleh Yusup.
Badlishah said Desa Park City Hospital would be developed by Perdana Parkcity Sdn Bhd, a member of Samling Strategic Corp.
He said once the new hospital was completed, Perdana ParkCity would lease itto Sime Darby Healtcare to operate and manage.
