Notion Vtec confirms buyout interest for the company

Notion VTec Bhd has confirmed that a third party has approached its controlling shareholders to acquire the entire business or equity stake in the company.

Replying to a Bursa Malaysia query yesterday, Notion said while its controlling shareholders have not received any definitive proposals, the negotiations are ongoing and the company would make the announcements when necessary.

It did not name the third party or the controlling shareholders that were approached on the deal.

Bursa’s query was over an article published by The Edge Financial Daily yesterday that said Notion was eyed by a major US-based private equity firm. - by The Edge Financial Daily
