Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd said the Malaysian government raised the pool-betting duty to 8 per cent from 6 per cent.
The company remains optimistic that its operating performance for the year ending April 30, 2011, will be good, Berjaya Sports said in a statement to the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange today. - Bloomberg
