NAIM Holdings Bhd, a Malaysian construction company, is “keen” to raise its stake in oil and gas services provider Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd, said Ricky Kho, Naim’s head of corporate affairs in a telephone interview today.
Dayang is a “good investment”, he said. Naim will increase its stake depending on stock exchange regulations and availability of shares, Kho said.
Dayang Enterprise Holdings, a Malaysian oil-and-gas services provider, earlier rose to its highest level in seven weeks in Kuala Lumpur trading after a local daily reported that Naim Holdings Bhd plans to increase its stake, citing Naim’s Managing Director Hasmi Hasan.
Dayang climbed 1.5 per cent to RM1.98 at 9:20 a.m. local time, set for its highest close since April 26.
Naim gained 1 per cent to RM2.98, its biggest increase since June 14. - Bloomberg
