KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd has launched a new postpaid plan known as the MaxisONE plan, targeted at customers who worry about overusing their mobile Internet.

Featuring limitless talk time and text, the plan also offers the “Always On” Internet experience that gives customers free basic Internet after the allocated high speed quota is used up.

Maxis head of customer business Dushyan Vaithiyanathan said the plan was launched based on their feedback from customers who complained of racking up expensive phone bills after finishing their allocated mobile Internet quota.

“We realise that data is no longer a luxury but a mass commodity and people are fearful because they are not sure how much data is used,” said Dushyan at the launch of the MaxisONE plan here yesterday.

That was why Maxis came up with an easily understood, worry-free plan for these customers, even for roaming in 106 countries, he said.

“Customers are not only looking for data. They want to have control over data, voice and text. With this plan, you can enjoy limitless roaming on a flat rate of RM38 per day,” said Dushyan.

The prices of the MaxisONE plan are RM78 for the MaxisONE plan lite, which gives users 1GB of data, limitless talk and text to other Maxis customers and the RM128 plan with 2GB of data with unlimited talk and text to all telcos.

Data boosters are also available from RM10 to RM30 for 200MB to 1GB of mobile Internet data for customers who require high speed Internet after finishing their quota.
